Sarah Palin announced a list Tuesday of Democratic members of Congress she intends to target for defeat this year, according to Politico.

Her strategy is simple. She said on her Facebook page that she’ll go after lawmakers who voted for healthcare reform and hail from districts she and Arizona Sen. John McCain won in the 2008 presidential election.

That means 48 Democrats in all are in her sights, but she's specifically interested in the ones who voted for the Obamacare package.

“With the president signing this unwanted and ‘transformative’ government takeover of our health care system today with promises impossible to keep, let’s not get discouraged,” Palin wrote in a post on her Facebook wall, urging supporters not to “get demoralized.”

"Three of these (20) House members are retiring – from Arkansas’s 2nd district, Indiana’s 8th district, and Tennessee’s 6th district – but we’ll be working to make sure that those who replace them are Commonsense Conservatives," Palin writes. "The others are running for re-election, and we’re going to hold them accountable for this disastrous Obamacare vote.

The remaining unlucky Democrats:

Ann Kirkpatrick (Ariz.)
Harry Mitchell (Ariz.)
Gabrielle Giffords (Ariz.)
John Salazar (Colo.)
Betsy Markey (Colo.).
Allen Boyd (Fla.)
Suzanne M. It was pretty cold, but we walked one whole complex of homes and townhomes. Of the 62 votes we need, we only received 5, but we will hit the streets again next Saturday. A lot of people were happy to see us and get the voter information we had, so I think we are doing a great community service. And besides - it's fun and great exercise!

After seeing Sarah Palin speak to the Tea Party convention last night, it has renewed my energy to do all that I can. We need to do the neighborhood walk that didn't happen last week due to the rain, which is scheduled for precinct #14. We'll meet at MexiGo Restaurant at 2pm Saturday and go from there. We can hit the entire precinct in about a hour to 2 hours. I will have copies of the handouts and the maps.

The second event you can participate in is the Phone Banks. If you log into the website http://DallasTeaParty.org/Phone_Banking, you can simply follow the screens. First select the county, then the precinct, and the second page will have a phone number at the top and the script below it. It's really easy. If they agree to the survey, simply ask the questions and record the responses on the form. At the end you can either go to the next one or stop. Whichever you want to do. If you stop, you have to go through the login process again.

So if you want a really nice walk in the cool winter of Texas or sit in your warm office/living room/den at home, you can still participate in getting people out to vote and to gather much needed information. We will be handing out flyers for how to join the Dallas Tea Party and also why they should vote in the primary. We need to get commitments from them to vote, and if possible, get them to sign the paper I will provide, which then makes them take it a little more seriously. If you are a deputy registrar, you can also register people to vote. It doesn't help to leave a voter registration card behind in hopes they will fill it out and send it in. They don't. So if you are a deputy registrar, you can get them registered on the spot.

Please let me know which one you are interested in doing so I'll have enough copies for everyone tomorrow and also - if you need me to review the phone bank with you, let me know and I'd be happy to do that.

**Just a note: We are not the North Texas Tea Party, we do not ask for donations, other than your time and commitments to getting our country back, and we do not endorse any candidates. We are gathering information on each candidate and will broadcast that to all so you may make your own decisions.

Empower Texans Endorsements

Fellow Common Sense Texans:

Provided for the benefit of our members is the list of candidates who have received the endorsement of Empower Texans.

NOTE: The Common Sense Texans Network is a non-partisan, non-profit organization and does not endorse candidates. The “other team” is busy growing government, promulgating regulations and policies that dig deeper into your pocketbook. Conservatives need to weigh in. Public policy and important decisions are made every day – not just on polling days.

Here are some ways you can make a difference and work to defend the American Dream

1.Know your elected officials and call or write them about issues you care about.

2.Write letters to the editor of your local newspaper (and if the newspaper or TV station has a blog, make comments).

3.Call radio talk shows – make sure your voice is heard!

4.Volunteer on campaigns. The better you know the officials, the more likely you are to have their ear.

5.Join organizations that can keep you informed on issues you care about (like Americans for Prosperity – www.afptx.org)

6.Attend events. You are busy, but public policy decisions are often made based on who shows up.

7.End taxpayer-funded lobbying. While you are hard at work making a living, taking care of your family and paying your taxes, your tax dollars should not be used to fund policies that allow government to dig deeper into your pockets!

8.Blog! A growing number of media use bloggers as sources of information and to provide quotes.

Who we are: Americans For Prosperity (AFP) is a nationwide organization of citizen leaders committed to advancing every individual’s right to economic freedom and opportunity. AFPF believes reducing the size and scope of government is the best safeguard to ensuring individual productivity and prosperity for all Americans.
